I was looking for somewhere to take my 3 year-old daughter and wife to get outside before the afternoon heat and decided to try this zoo in the middle of ranch land. What a pleasant surprise!

OK So I never write reviews. I just usually dont have time or inclination, but I am going to write one every place I can for this place because it really impressed me. We lived in Europe for a long time and this is very similar to those zoos. The animals are VERY well take care of. It IS rustic, it is not like a big paved zoo, but its rustic nature made it wonderful. They have pellets for purchase to feed the animals and they are used to people but not overfed or unhealthy. It is a lot of walking and get water at the gate (or bring it). Staff was amazing!!

Great local zoo! We live close and I'm ashamed that it's taken us so long to visit. We had a great time today and the zoo was so much larger, and more personal than we expected. The staff is very friendly and interactive. We decide to do the "extra" animal experiences and it was well worth the money. We fed the lemurs (gentle and friendly), fed the hippo (highly recommend) and that is one happy hippo. At the very least you want to buy food for the petting zoo. Plan to spend a couple of hours here. We will be back.

I really don’t understand people who are angry with this place. My family and I really enjoy this place. It’s like going to a ranch to see a zoo. If you don’t like the country then get the heck out. The location is absolutely beautiful and I’d imagine the animals love the fresh air over any polluted city zoo. I’ve never seen a mistreated animal here, they are all heathy and beautiful. I find it laughable when people who’ve never tended to wild animals have the nerve to get on here and question proper practices. A lot of the larger animals they keep are dealing with major poacher issues in there native lands, this reserve offers a safe home to these gorgeous animals. I really appreciate what this reserve is doing and plan on going there often.

My friend and I finally made it to the Zoo and I loved it, I got to feed "Tank" the hippo which was so very Cool, He is so cute. I petted Moses the camel, we fed the goats met all types of animals, The friend fed the crock, and that made him sooo happy he was winking at us, there was so much to look at and the staff was excellent. I am so thrilled to be able to give to my community and visit critters at the same time. We will be going back every chance we get. Thank You Zoo for such a wonderful day

Thanks,

We have been to several small private zoos in Europe, and this was much more fun than we expected. The impressive variety of animals were all healthy, happy and attentive to the visitors....something seldom seen with large zoo animals. You have close experiences with all of the animals without any risk or danger. My daughter and I loved feeding grapes to the lemurs.

The owner and staff are right there to answer questions and provide that extra personal touch that makes a visit special. We will be back and will bring all friends and family that come to visit the area.

Worth EVERY DOLLAR and we will be going back every chance we get.
