This place is exceptionally cared for and managed.

Take a walk around the woods, make a phone call to the owner. Reviews are one thing but experiencing this place is a whole different and beautiful experience.

Ellen works hard to create a beautiful resting place for all. People and pets are welcomed. One family did not purchase plots that were held for 1 year without contact for them next to an infant. A dog owner loved the area and chose to bury the dog in an adjacent AVAILABLE spot. The above mentioned family is now irate and campaining a negative feedback war on the burial park.

My cat is buried here in the pet section. Someday I hope to be buried here myself along with my dog and any other family members.

Eloise Woods natural burial Park is the first of its kind in Texas. It is the heart and soul of a woman named Ellen who wanted to be a part of the natural burial movement and give families a more sustainable and peaceful place to bury their dead.

Only bury your loved ones here if you want dogs buried next to them. A friend of mine lost her 5 month old infant and a dog was buried next to her. After sending an email to the heartless owner, the owner then buried dogs all around her baby. Completely heartless. She took the pain of a mother and increased it. Bury your loved ones literally anywhere else.

Please don't judge a good thing by the uninformed folks complaining about their infant girl. What's wrong with a loved human and a loved animal being buried in close proximity? Other green burial spots allow all this as well. A body is a container for a soul - that's all. If they are that disturbed, they should move the baby.

Eloise Woods is a magical place. I have walked the entire property with Ellen - she knows who is buried in each and every plot and their story. She really cares. She has personally carved the stones for many if not most of the graves. I can't think of a more perfect place to "rest" when my time comes....hopefully not too soon though! I love that she is also on the forefront of the natural burial movement and trying to educate everyone about this wonderful option to traditional cemeteries.
